Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville was filling the airwaves last week when our own Bob Lyons Sr. was featured on Porch Ideas Network via podcast with Mary and Dave. The segment featured Christmas Light Decorating Ideas for Your Front Porch and Yard and secrets on creating wonderful holiday light displays and installing outdoor Christmas lights safely.

“What you first have to decide is what color you want to use or whether you want to use all white or clear. And then you have to decide whether you want to augment it with different features like starbursts, wreaths, garland, or other holiday decorations.” 

“Then you have to decide if it’s better to concentrate on one area of your yard or porch (and do it really well) or broaden out (and possibly not do as good a job overall).”

The variety of colored LED lighting used in holiday lighting displays was also covered at great length during the segment. In addition, proper spacing of holiday lighting, power requirements, tree wrap holiday lighting and how we combine strings of lights for a cohesive effect were all hot topics!
