Nashville Tree Lighting at the Country Music Hall of Fame

Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville recently installed commercial outdoor lighting along the tree-lined entrance to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This venue is rich in music history as it is often referred to as the Smithsonian of country music.

With a core goal of collecting, preserving, and interpreting the evolving history and traditions of country music, the Country Music Hall of Fame teaches audiences about the past and continued importance of county music.

The venue recently unveiled a magnificent expansion, doubling its size to 350,000 sq. feet of galleries, classrooms, retail areas, storage and special event space. The building is situated in the heart of Music City’s epicenter close to the honky-tonks of Broadway and across the street from Bridgestone Arena.

Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville is truly honored to have been asked to install the tree lighting along the entrance to this amazing venue! We used a technique called tree wrapping to add elegance and beauty to this already impressive locale. Though this genre of lighting may appear to be solely for the holidays, the venue intends to keep the lights year round. Such is the trend to use permanent tree lighting in many commercial buildings and even in residential backyard settings.

Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville Partners with Top Landscape Architect, Anne Daigh, to Light Up Edgehill Village

Close up bulb shot for Anne Deigh project

In progress unique lighting installation in Edgehill Village.

We love unique and creative outdoor lighting challenges at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville and this one from our friend, and landscape architect, Anne Daigh is one of our favorites. Anne, who is a talented landscape architect here in Nashville, was looking for a partner to help illuminate a courtyard  located in super trendy Edgehill Village—a vintage industrial building that has been repurposed into cool shops, businesses and restaurants just off Music Row. The location consists of 8 brick building that once house Whiteway Cleaners in the 20’s which have been restored to embrace their historical style and significance.  Anne’s  goal was to illuminate it in a unique way that would inspire patrons and keep them coming back. She approached us with a clever way to light this outdoor area so that it would pay homage to the structure’s history, but also have a retro modern feel at the same time.

The courtyard is partially exposed to the open air, and we wanted to make sure Anne’s vision came to life by tying the indoors and outside together. We used LED dimmable Edison style light bulbs that were customized to nest inside massive metal caged orbs that vary from 18” to 38” in circumference. The orbs are red and bring a fabulous pop of color into this indoor/outdoor space that we suspended with aircraft cables from the exposed metal grid iron work that supports the roof covering the courtyard.

Edgehill Village loves the final result that Anne designed and Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville installed, and we were thrilled to partner with her on illuminating yet another fashionable and trendy corner in the city of Nashville. We love that we have our name stamped all over some of the hippest spots in town like the Country Music Hall of Fame and The Gulch. We are thrilled that building and landscape architects come to us to put the final touch on their masterful creations so that they are showcased to the max in the evening hours. And we are more than happy to make them look good after the sun goes down.
