Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville Has Gone to the Dogs—and Tails are Wagging with Delight!

Nashville dog park lighting in Brentwood TNDog parks are becoming more popular every year, especially in metro areas such as Nashville where dog owners don’t have large yards. Dog owners depend on these areas to ensure their pups get the exercise they need. Many dog parents even seek out properties near dog parks as a prerequisite when purchasing a home. One important element for dog parks, in the evening, is proper lighting. Without it, the park is uninviting and could be considered unsafe at night. Recently, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Nashville had the opportunity to help add necessary lighting to a Brentwood, TN dog park, Tapestry Dog Park.

OLP Nashville Uses Innovative Commercial Outdoor Lighting

When working on this project, we discussed a variety of commercial outdoor lighting options. Based on the needs of the space and the client’s requirements, we recommended solar lighting. As a cost-effective, environmentally-friendly option, our client was very receptive to installing this type of solution.

These solar lighting applications not only incur zero energy cost but also have other innovative qualities. These tall posts have an extended fixture, which charges during the day and illuminates in the dark.

These lights also sense motion and become brighter as dogs and their walkers approach them. Because a dog park has sporadic visitors after dark, solar lighting with sensors was an ideal fit for this application.

There’s more to do in Music City than just music — much more!

Music cityThe entire world already knows Nashville as “Music City” because our foundations were built on music. From early settlers playing the fiddle before setting out on the Cumberland River, to being the home of the famed “Grand Ole Opry“, Nashville has always been revered for its music, musicians, songs and the place where dreams can come true! Today’s Nashville offers a wide range of diverse musical styles, not just country & western music. Nashville has also become a hub for pop, rock, bluegrass, Americana, jazz, classical, contemporary Christian, blues, and soul music. Rolling Stone recently gave Nashville the title of “Best Music Scene.” Talented artists such as  Robert Plant, Bon Jovi, Michael Buble and many more are among those who have come to Music City to write and record. Artists like Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Michael McDonald, Sheryl Crow, and Jack White have even chose to call Nashville home.

With all its memorable melodic venues, and a history rich in music, there is still much to see and do in Nashville, especially when it comes to food! Of course, there is a wide variety of food genres to choose from but being natives to Nashville we have a few places we are quite partial too when it comes dinnertime: here they are listed in random order.

Nashville hot chickenHattie B’s Hot Chicken — Widely regarding around this region as the best hot chicken and wings around.  Hattie B’s has two convenient locations to please, offering your choice of heat levels from mild to “shut the cluck up” there is something delish to suit even the most discriminating hot chicken lover!

Even more to cluck about — Yes, we even celebrate our homage to hot chicken — Listed on Gourmet.com as one of America’s best food festivals, the Music City Hot Chicken Festival is held every 4th of July in Nashville. This annual event includes authentic Nashville style hot chicken vendors, an amateur hot chicken cookoff, beer, sunshine and even a parade!

travel-and-leisure-best-bbqDid you know Nashville was voted the best, meaning numero uno (#1) American city for barbecues this year by Travel & Leisure magazine! That’s right — Music City won for compiling a greatest-hits collection of barbecue styles. Among one of our personal favorites for BBQ is Peg Leg Porker BBQ. This barbecue alone is worth a trip to Nashville! Located in The Gulch, Carey Bringle’s Peg Leg Porker is finger-licking BBQ at its best. According to an article in Nashville Scene, The owner, “Bringle is a Nashville boy with roots in West Tennessee — Graceland and thereabouts, where the term “ribs” means Rendezvous-style dry rub. Peg Leg Porker’s signature is a 16-ingredient medley of warm red spices — low salt, no sugar — that gets applied after the pork ribs emerge from the smoker. Based on chili and paprika, the finishing rub is intended to mirror the flavors of barbecue sauce. It is a strategy that showcases the smoky meat, without losing it under a sticky lacquer of caramelized mopping sauce. When the rib meat is as tender and juicy as Peg Leg Porker’s, clinging to the bone with just the right tenacity, there’s no need to overshadow it.”

If your hungry for a change then Epice ( The name, pronounced “ay-PEACE,” means “spice” in French), is just the spot. “The sleek Lebanese bistro in 12South is the perfect antidote to local food overdose”, as an article in Nashville Scene commented. Epice is a neighborhood bistro serving moderately priced, simple and authentic Lebanese foods reflective of Lebanon’s flavorful Mediterranean cuisine.

In addition, Kalmatas is another of our faves. Kalmatas has three locations of their family style restaurant that bring together the diverse flavours of the Mediterranean to your table. The tastes of Kalmatas come full-circle as traditional recipes are enjoyed with a modern twist that captures the classic taste while ensuring a health conscious option for everyone to enjoy.
